Words on Back: Joan photographed this silly giraffe at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Springs. She named him Sam because he is a reticulated giraffe who would be found in Samburu in northern Kenya. His bird friend is called Opie, a red billed oxpecker.
