Words on Back: Pikas are furry little creatures who live in rock piles high in the mountains of western North America. They are related to rabbits and are about the size of large hamsters. Pikas have distinctive rounded ears, luxurious whiskers and no visible tails. They say eeenncck! Pika Pete is originally from the Wind River Range in Wyoming. He’s been seen on mountain tops in Colorado, too. If it hadn’t been for Pete, there would be no Pika Works. The life of a pika can be pretty tough. There are many predators such as weasels, hawks and eagles who try to catch them. Sometimes they succeed.
