It
is sunny today and around 50 degrees. I had to go again to see if
I could get better photos. The unusually high level of snow this year
may make this a once in a lifetime opportuity to see the moose up
close with a margin of safety.
The moose had moved just a few yards.
Dolly
stood in one place and watched me while she nibbled. "That's
close enough," she thought. I agreed. Thank goodness I have a
telephoto lens. It is essential for pikas because they are so small
and quick. It is essential for moose because they are so big and wild.
